Moscow is independed group of genes. It is not gene of color (for example, blue).

It is group of genes - location of big spot on front of body, Base body color gene specific genotype, Red spot on the peduncle and Fancy tail and fins form.

Moscow Female on your foto have Hypermrlanism gene. She can have Full Blue phenotype bot under the Black pigments you can not see it.

I see!

My friend gets Moscow male fry when he crosses male snakeskin to female Moscow. He has for many years.
Another friend gets motile Moscow "metal head" pigment in his male snakeskin fry when male snakeskin is taken to female Moscow.

Is this hypermelanism gene the answer?

Can Moscow complex of genes be found on X and Y?

No. Part gens are autosomal (hypermelanism, form of tail also) - but may be it is XY-linked.
We must test it.

Moscow is interection between few genes - it is not clear mendelian genetics.
